“The Kids Are Alright,” so The Who song goes. And on the evidence of new figures released by research firm Tubular Labs, they are certainly well served by YouTube channels.
The company found that channels targeted at children dominated its list of top YouTube creators in May, while there were also places for some familiar favourites, including PewDiePie.
These are the top 10 YouTube channels in the UK right now.
Methodology: Video intelligence software company Tubular Labs provided the data for this ranking. The YouTube creators are ranked in order of total views in May.

NoCopyrightSounds was founded by Billy Woodford in 2011 after he grew frustrated with trying to licence music to accompany videos of him gaming.
Woodford was named as one of the UK’s top young entrepreneurs last year by new business news service Startups.
He told the website that NoCopyrightSounds generates revenue through advertising deals with YouTube and Spotify, and is profitable.

DisneyJuniorUK is the YouTube home of Disney’s television channel. It houses clips from kids’ favourite shows, as well as exclusive videos.
Popular titles include “The Lion Guard”, a spin-off of 1994 film “The Lion King”, and fairytale series “Goldie & Bear”.

LittleBabyBum is run by Derek Holder and his wife. He told The Guardian last year that he was surpised by the channel’s success: “It’s been mindblowing. Staggering. We pinch ourselves every day,” Holder said.
